No Garba this year again

This year again due to Covid -19 playing Garba / Dandiya has been banned by Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika. The celebration has to be low-key. Temples have been allowed to open for darshan for devotees from 7th October as per the Maharashtra state government. They need to follow strict protocols for daily darshan. Follow social distancing, wearing mask is a must, no prasad or tirtha to be given to devotees. Frequently sanitise the premises, avoid touching the idol, holy books or any other things in the premises. 

Following norms have to be followed by all sarvajanik mandals and citizens keeping Devi mata at their home:
– No Aagman / Visarjan Procession allowed. Max 10 people allowed for aagman / visarjan. Everyone must follow covid-19 guidelines, wear mask / shield and use sanitizer and social distancing. All Karyakarta`s must have taken 2 doses of Vaccines.
– Sarvajanik Mandals – Height of Devi mata Idol must be maximum 4 feet and
At Home – Height of Devi Mata Idol must be maximum 2 feet
– Make use of technology for daily darshan like Facebook, Zoom, or other platforms. Kindly ensure that there must be gathering in your pandal for darshan / pooja, etc.
– Devi`s Idol must be nature friendly like Shadu Maati. Avoid POP idol.

– If possible you can keep a Blood donation camp or medical checking camp for citizens.
– Sanitise your pandal atleast 3 times in a day. Check temperature, keep a hand sanitizer and follow social distancing and wear a mask compulsorily.
– Do not use loudspeakers / music during Navratri.
– Avoid senior citizens or small children for visarjan or in aagman procession since they are more susceptible to the covid-19 virus. 

– Idol Visarjan must be done in your vicinity in a Houd or a large tub or in an artificial pond nearby in your area.
