Sathaye College

Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association’s Sathaye College located in cultural hub of suburbs Vile Parle is a well-known College affiliated to University of Mumbai founded in 1959, this Arts, and Science College later on added Commerce faculty in 1982, Sociology, Microbiology, Psychology as courses. From 2001 to 2016, new self-financing courses like B.Sc.(I.T.), B.M.S., B.M.M. along with M.Sc. (I.T.), M.A. in Hindi, M.A. in Buddhist Studies and Ph.D. in Physics and a variety of certificate courses during 2001-2016.

Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association founded in 1921, established Parle College now Sathaye College, with a vision to establish an institution of higher learning.

College has its alumni placed in various good positions, which have brought laurels by shining in all walks of life like administrative and foreign services, defence, education, art, film, theatre, sports, dance, music, I.T, media and so on.

Dhanukar College

The Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association was established in 1921 to commemorate Lokmanya Tilak by undertaking educational activities. Parle Commerce College was established in June 1960 under the parasol of PTVA. A handsome donation made by Shri Mahadev Laxman Dahanukar, a philanthropic industrialist resulted in the College being renamed as M. L. Dahanukar College of Commerce in 1962. PTVA’s M. L. Dahanukar College of Commerce has completed 58 Glorious Years in the field of education and is re-accredited with “A” Grade by NAAC. It is one of the oldest and highly sought after Commerce Colleges in Suburban Mumbai catering to more than 5,000 students every year.

The College is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Colleges have three sections:

Beside the studies Dhanukar also has extracurricular activities like film, theatre, sports, dance, music, I.T, media and so on.

Mithibai College

Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science & Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous) is envisaged as a destination for the most talented and promising students, since its inception in 1961. The college has 32departments of which 16 are postgraduate departments with 10 of them conducting Ph.D. programmes. It has always encouraged an admission policy that favours meritorious students irrespective of their economic backgrounds. The college inculcates values that prepare a student for academic excellence through the paths of critical thinking, a professional work ethic and the determination to be accountable.

NM College

It is one of the oldest Colleges. A college which started with an initial intake of 250 students has now grown to have a total strength of approximately 5500 students. It started with just one course in B.COM in 1964 and has added 3 more courses in Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), Bachelor in Commerce (Financial Markets) and one inter-disciplinary Course Bachelor of Science (Information Technology)

The college has also started post graduate course in Commerce with three streams Advanced Accountancy. Business Management, Banking and Finance. In its journey of 51 years the college has given many prominent Industrialists, Chartered accountants, film artists , singers, musicians, theatre personalities, fashion designers and sport stars to the country.
