Divyang Cricket world champions team inaugrates 20th Parle Mahotsav

Mumbai dt 22 : The 20th Parle Mahotsav was inaugrated on saturday at the hands of Divyang Cricket World Cup Champions team campatin Vikrant Keni.Admist 3000 participants,parents and Parlekars and in the background of the popular 100 member Dhol Pathak,Vikrant Keni lit the Mashal and inaugrated the event.Also present were team coach Sulakshan Kulkarni,team director Vinod Deshpande,players Ravindra Sante and Kunal Fanse.

Parle Mahotsav is a platform for Talent Search and we are blessed to have the World Champions Indian Divyang Cricket team to inaugrate it,said Parag Alavani,MLA and Chief Organiser,Parle Mahotsav.This will definitely Motivate our participants to strive hard and do their Best at the competetions.

Although players of other countries had just 15% disability as compared to ours 40%, our team with their hard work,emerged Victorious said Sulakshan Kulkarni,the team couch.This taught me that No one should seek sympathy for any sort of disability but instead should make sincere efforts for sucess, he added.

The sports venue of 20th Parle Mahotsav,Dubashi maidan area has been named as SwatantraVeer Vinayak Damodar Sawarkar KridaNagari while Sathye College,venue for Arts and Cultural events is named as Prof Mohanrao Apte Kala Nagari

Dr Alka Mandke while addressing the audience, reteriated that this year too, all the prizes at Mahotsav will be sponsored in the memory of Late Dr Nitu Mandke, himself a sports lover.Principal of Sathye college, associate organiser of Parle Mahotsav,also wished all the participants for the competetion.

Immediately,after the Opening ceremony,The first day witnessed around 2000 participants in various athletics competetions like Running,cycling etc.The second day also begun with enthusiastic participation in Singing ( marathi,hindi and karoake ) ,school level kabaddi and vollyball for residential societies.Around 3800 people are expected to participate in first two days.

The Inaugration ceremony was also attended by Shri Dilip Bhogale,Corporators Jyoti Alavani,Sunita Mehta,Abhijit Samant,Anish Makwaney,Shrikrushna Ambekar,Pravir Kapur,Vinit Gore,Chanranjit Sandhu,Milind Shinde etc.
