Editorial – July 2025

As the monsoon sets in, so do the familiar seasonal health hiccups. Our nanis and dadis had their timeless nuske-from herbal kadhas to digestive breaks-reminding us to slow down, rest our bodies, and build immunity.
Today’s Gen Z may joke, “Midnight hunger? Swiggy it!”-but ironically, they’re also embracing intermittent fasting, thanks to Instagram trends. The wisdom of our ancestors is coming full circle. Monsoons naturally weaken digestion, and traditional upvaas (fasts) weren’t just spiritual-they were smart. This issue of Townparle.in explores how such age-old practices hold modern relevance.
We also celebrate Orion School’s recognition with the SDG School Award and PTV ICSE’s wins at NSM’s Language Festival 2025, where students showcased their linguistic brilliance.
In health features, we explore the Ayurvedic approach to insomnia, offering natural remedies for better sleep, and examine the link between children’s oral health and overall wellness.
Our new Property Showcase debuts with Arkade Pearl, a community-centric residential project that reimagines family living in Vile Parle East.
In urban design, “Building the Community Bond” highlights the need to reclaim city spaces for people, encouraging connection in our concrete-heavy cityscape.
This month’s stories remind us that whether it’s ancient wisdom, academic achievement, or futuristic design-the core of progress lies in connection.
Wishing all our readers a meaningful monsoon and a mindful month ahead.
