Late Shri Vilas Mantri & Late Shri Jagannath Mohite Memorial 1st Maharashtra Masters Table Tennis Committee Ranking Tournament in Vile Parle

Late Shri Vilas Mantri & Jagannath Mohite Memorial Masters Table Tennis Tournament will be held on 8^th and 9^th July 2023 at Prabodhankar Thackeray Krida Sankul at PTKS, Vile Parle (E). This is the first Ranking TT tournament to be conducted by newly formed Maharashtra Masters Table Tennis Committee elected through online voting process by 180+ Veteran players from Maharashtra.

Entries will be accepted till Thursday 6th July 2023 (till 12.00 noon).There will be Individual Men’s and Women’s Singles from 39+ to 75+ age groups. There will also be team event for the age groups 39+ and 59+ separately. According to the organisers, so far they have received very good response from veteran players. Many of these former TT players will be making a comeback through this tournament.

Most of the medal winners from Maharashtra, who recently won medals at the World Veterans’ TT Championship at Oman and National Masters’ TT Championship at Jalandhar have decided toparticipate in this tournament. Prominent among them are Yogesh Desai, Suhasini Bakre( Pune), Anil Rasam, Rajesh Mudam, Ulhas Shirke, Prakash kelkar, Sameer Bhate, Swati Agharkar( Nashik), Sadia Vanjara, Sunanda Rao, Sivapriya Naik, Rajnish Khatavkar, Percy Mehta ,Shravani Dhapre and others.  

Late Jagannath Mohite

Sheela Naidu sister of Late Vilas Mantri will be making her comeback into TT through this tournament, while Late Jagannath Mohite’s brother Mahendra Mohite and his son Saurabh Mohite will be participating in this tournament. Moreover, according to the organisers, there will be many surprise entries for the tournament, besides surprise visitors to watch this event.
