Local trains open to general public from 1st Feb*
For the past several months we have been reading in the news that Mumbai`s lifeline “Trains” will be made open to local public but the decision was pending from various stakeholders. In the recent developments Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that the trains will be open to public from 29th January or 1st Feb. In a statement by the Mayor, Kishori Pednekar, “The Municipal commissioner have called a meeting to discuss regarding starting of local trains for general public from 29th January or 1st Feb. The public must follow rules and regulations like, wear a mask, follow social distancing.”

For General Public the timings are:
First Local to 7 am
12 noon to 4 pm
9 pm to last local
For Essential Services only the timings are:
7 am to 12 noon
4 pm to 9 pm.
