New Age Yoga Institute Earns National Recognition

In a moment of pride for the community, New Age Yoga Institute (NAYI), led by Sandhya Patki, has been recognized among India’s distinguished yoga institutions.

On the occasion of Independence Day (15th August), the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, extended invitations to 100 individuals from across the country for their outstanding contribution to the field of yoga. From Maharashtra, 28 members were selected — and notably, five of them are from Vile Parle’s own New Age Yoga Institute.

Adding to the honor, six other invitees had earlier been felicitated with the ‘Yogratna’ award by NAYI.

Founded in 1994 by Sandhya and Nitin Patki, the institute has trained over 30,000 individuals and nurtured more than 500 yoga teachers. Since 2023, NAYI has also been conducting free yoga classes across 50 BMC centers in Mumbai, making yoga accessible to citizens at large.
