Parlekar`s beware while going out on a walk or run
In past few days there has been increase in thefts, chain snatching incidents in roads of vile parle east early morning and late night. There were incidents shared on whats-app and some were even reported in the Vile Parle Police station. Vile parle police have issued an advisory to the citizens going on early morning walk or night walk:
Don’t wear Gold -Necklace, Mangalsutra, Rings, Bangles & ear-rings
Avoid carrying your wallets. Carry minimum cash with you
Don’t wear expensive watches
Keep your mobile phones in your top pocket of shirt if possible.
Senior citizens please avoid going for a walk early morning (6 am) and late night (after 9 pm or 9.30 pm)
Senior Police Inspector Shri Rajendra Kane have conveyed the following things:
There are Beat Marshall officers in each police station who take regular rounds of their respective areas on Bike. You can meet and talk with him on a regular basis and keep him updating about any such incidences.
In case you hear any such incident, then inform the local beat marshall and report it to the local police station.
As a next step of precaution, Senior Police Inspector Shri Rajendra Kane & their team have started taking corner meetings and updating parlekars about their safety and Do`s and Don’t`s.
