Safety & Precautions while travelling in local trains in Mumbai
Local trains have opened for general public from Monday, 1st February 2021. The railway ministry have given different timings for general public and essential workers. There will be many people travelling in the train so there is a risk of transmission of covid-19, so we should take precautions while travelling in the train.
Government have opened UTS app for tickets and Monthly / Quarterly Pass services to avoid long queues at ticket windows.
Wear a 3 ply face mask. Keep an extra mask in your bag.
Keep a hand sanitizer and use it as you touch any alien surface
Keep hand wipes with you
Wear Hand Gloves if possible
Wash your hands, legs, face and remove your mask & clothes and put it to wash.
Kindly avoid touching your mask and then touching eyes or mouth or nose. This will increase the risk of transmission to you and as well as others.
Try maintaining social distancing while standing on platform or in the train
Railways have released a SOP of where to stand, how to get in the platform and how to get out of the stations, etc. Kindly make use of it for everyone`s safety
In case you touch any alien surface like ticket machines, Hand rails, handles, doors, etc. use a sanitizer. The hand sanitizer must have 60 % alcohol content.
If you use Public toilets wash your hands for 10 to 15 seconds with soap and water
When you reach your work space, wash your hands for 10 to 15 seconds with soap and water
Avoid doing the following things in public:-
Shift the mask below while talking on mobile phone
Eat Pan, Masala and Gutkha and spit on road or at corners. This increases the risk of spreading
Not to wear a mask
Not to follow social distancing
Not to sanitise their hands after touching anything
We all need to act as responsible citizens to stop the transmission of covid-19.
