Vile Parle AQI is Poor category

This year the Air Quality Index of Mumbai is worse than Delhi. Its 309 and falls under very poor category.

Vile Parle AQI is 119 which falls under Poor category.

The air quality depends on various factors i.e. Vehicle pollution, Pollution from industries, Construction Work, Metro Work, Road Repairing work, Garbage Dust, etc.

Almost all the roads in Vile Parle East and West, there is some or other building construction work / repair work going on which is adding to the dust and noise pollution. The Huge Lorries which collect debris leaves the nearby road with wet clay and dust which spills on the roads. The Builder / Contractor are supposed to keep the approach site road clean.

Due to this, citizens with Asthama, Blood Pressure, Bronchitis and other respiratory diseases are facing issues to breathe. This also affecting heart patients as well.

Due to which there has been rising cases of Cold, Coughing and breathing issue and other respiratory diseases in and around Vile Parle.

Some places where AQI falls under very poor category, there citizens have request the local authorities to start washing roads with used sewage water or sea water to curb dust pollution.

Citizens are requested to kindly follow few things which will help reduce pollution and take care of their health:

Wear a mask while moving outdoors

Avoid walking / jogging or exercising near high traffic / vehicle congested areas

Walk, Go on Bike or Carpool with your colleagues.

Make use of Public Transport like Buses, Railways, Metro, etc.

Don’t use unnecessary electricity. Switch off lights when not in use.

Don’t burn paper, wood or any other material which increases pollution.

Citizens are requested to consult their nearest doctor, if they are facing difficulty in breathing or if any other issues.
