Vileparle Icecream Festival | 17th and 18th May 2019
Summer is the hottest and vacation time for kids. It’s a perfect time for sports, swimming, picnics etc. But when it comes to hotness everyone wants some cold refreshment. Amongst all 1 thing is mostly preferred i.e. ICE CREAM. Ice cream loved by the almost everyone. looking forward to this choice Growing Tree has organised Ice cream festival with food, shopping & many more at Laxminarayan Prasad Lawn, Vile Parle. It was organised by Shilpa Kulkarni and Jui Bag. Media partner for the festival is www.townparle.in. The ceremony was inaugurated by Smt. Jyotiji Alavni (Corporator Ward no 85), Shri. Abhijeet Samant (Corporator, Ward no 84), Smt Chinamayee Summet (Marathi actress) and Mandar Apte (Singer and Music composer).
Beginning with the lawn which was beautifully decorated with balloons and flower. At the entrance there was a trampoline where children’s were jumping and giggling. There were 15 to 18 stalls in all.
Minus Zero degree
Minus Zero degree is a well know icecream parlour. They make their own ice cream. They deliver it directly from vasai from their factory. They have varieties like sugar free ice cream, seasonal fruits ice creams, regular ice creams, Dry fruits ice creams, chocolates flavour icecreams, Triple sundae, Faloodas and also thick shake made by fresh fruits.
Kiga Ice Cream
They have little different flavours of icecream. They were serving pure ghee puranpoli ice cream, ukdiche modak ice cream, shirkurma ice cream, paani puri ice cream, gulkand ice cream. The name itself can convince anyone to taste it.
Apsara Ice cream
They had Classic Flavours such as Guava Glory, Belgian bite, pan berry, Alphanso, pani puri phataka, roasted almond. Many people were gathered there to try new flavours.
Food stalls were also crowded with people. Human are crazy eaters. So starting with the OLIVA (Italian, Thai and Lebanese cuisine). In starters they have many options but amongst all of them pizza chicken pinwheels are new and it’s their own in-house recipe. They have Burger, Croissants & toast, steak and baked sandwiches. For sandwich lovers they must try all baked sandwiches once. They prepare their own sauces for pasta and seafood pasta contains prawns & Basa. Must try items are chicken fingers, Tandoori paneer pizza, chicken peri peri pizza, Oliva paneer starizza with nachos and salads, Chicken Mexicana, Chicken pepperoni pizza, Veg Mexicana.
Café Durga is leading food services retailer in pune. They came all over from there to this fest today. They have evolving menu with various branches all over. Their main motto is to satisfy customer. People were very busy eating dosa, missal pav and many more.
For starters there was a popcorn stall with different flavour such as Caramel popcorn, cheese popcorn, and plain popcorn. Gola is generally loved by people. They crush the ice and add flavours on it with a pinch of chat masala on it. Believe me! It tastes very good.
LADY KHA KHA the name itself says eat more doesn’t worry about the calories. As they use Fat free oil. They did served starters, potato pops and many more food item.
Sweet delicacies or desserts always complete the food. Let me tell you about waffles and fresh baked cake, pastries and many more. Starting with the London bubble waffle stall. They are famous for bubble wraps and different flavour of waffle. Belgian waffle, Kit Kat waffle and chocolate waffle, Nutella shakes is a must try stuff.
Ashi’s Creation present Brownies,cupcakes, pastry, Mava cake, walnut cake, pineapple cake and special jar pastry cake. All this are eggless with no preservatives added and freshly baked by this qualified pastry chef Ashneet kaur. Also to add-ons this she does bake designer cakes, chocolates bouquets, desserts personalized gift hampers are the speciality of this creation.
In school children’s’ often play this game “Stone Paper Scissor” and everyone knows it but does anyone knew about this handmade jewellery stall? Yes the name was Stone Paper Scissor. Introducing you to the visual artist Sujata Bhagwat and Manasi Chendvankar the architect . They make jewellery using pure copper and self-carved designs with more of tassels, beads etc. Handloom tote were add-ons to their creative minds.
Last but not the least coming towards the home décor Tipsy Canvas was full of paintings painted by Ms Sayali Poddar. Her paintings were delight to eyes. They conveyed a message. It was very realistic work. They also had do it yourself (DIY) like wine and candle with decorative ribbon which can be used on dining table, plant in glass with decorative shells and many more .
Horticulture has opened up the minds of people and then they come up with such brilliant idea.
Vallarie Farms were truly a botanical display of plants. Using succulent’s they decorated it with different shapes of pots and with colourful marbles. And as they are succulent’s one need not need to water the plant daily.
Lanterns add beauty to house always. Cuts and Crafts designed by Mrunal Dabholkar is artistic work. All this are made from MDF paper. Not only lanterns she also made fruit baskets in various shapes and sizes. Also she had displayed key chains.
They organizers also conducted lucky draw and housie game which started by 7.30.The timings were 5pm to 11 pm. The whole event was perfectly organized. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed todays evening.
