Whatsapp will stop working on these devices from 1st November , an announcement by Facebook owned instant messaging app ‘WhatsApp.’ This change is to phase out devices which still run on older version of operation system. Starting 1st November 2021 devices running Android 4.0.3 or lower iOS 9 or older won`t be compatible with WhatsApp.
Brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony, LG, ZTE, Huawei, Alcatel, HTC and Lenovo are in the list:
1) Apple iPhone models that will not support WhatsApp:
iPhone SE (1st Gen), iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus.
2) Samsung phones that will not support WhatsApp:
Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy SII, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Core,
Galaxy Ace 2.
3) Sony phones that will not support WhatsApp:
Xperia Miro, Sony Xperia Neo L, Xperia Arc S.
4) LG phones that will not support WhatsApp
LG Lucid 2, LG Optimus F7, LG Optimus F5, LG Optimus L3 II Dual, LG Optimus F5, LG Optimus L5,
LG Optimus L5 II, LG Optimus L5 Dual, LG Optimus L3 II, LG Optimus L7, LG Optimus L7 II Dual,
LG Optimus L7 II, LG Optimus F6, LG Enact, LG Optimus L4 II Dual, LG Optimus F3, LG Optimus L4 II

5) ZTE phones that will not support WhatsApp:
ZTE Grand S Flex, ZTE V956, ZTE Grand X Quad V987, ZTE Grand Memo
6) Huawei phones that will not support WhatsApp
Huawei Ascend G740, Ascend Mate, Ascend D Quad XL, Ascend D1 Quad XL, Ascend P1 S, Ascend D2
More device makers like Alcatel, HTC and Lenovo will also not receive WhatsApp support as notified. This will make the devices incompatible for future updates and upgrades.
If you’re using any of the smartphones mentioned above, then we advise you to back up your chats before 1st November 2021. You can back up the chats to Google Cloud on Android and iCloud on iOS. Later, you can restore messages and media while setting up WhatsApp on a new device.
