Shri Aditya Thackeray (Cabinet minister of Tourism and Environment) in Government of Maharashtra also an MLA from Mumbai visited B.M.C School on M.G. Road, Vile Parle east and another municipal school in Matunga where they have proposed to have IB and IGCSE Boards in BMC Schools. Both schools will have free education and teach Marathi language as well till 10th grade.
Aditya Thackeray tweeted:
I also visited @mybmc schools at MG Road, Vile Parle East and LK Vaghaji Municipal School, Matunga Central where we’ve proposed to have IB and IGCSE boards respectively for BMC schools. Both schools will have free education and teach Marathi language as well till 10th grade.
BMC is planning to affiliate BMC schools with two international boards. The discussions have started and there is a plan to have one school per ward and education will be from Nursery till 10th Standard. The discussions are going on with Cambridge Board. It’s a dream project Shri Aditya Thackeray and he is personally talking and conducting meetings with these boards with BMC officials.
If this tie up succeeds and project takes off, then it will make a difference and in near future we will also see students shining from BMC schools as well.
