Parlekars overwhelming response to the Blood donation camp organized by Vile Parle Police

On 9th May, Sunday there was a Blood donation camp organized at Utkarsha Mandal, Vile Parle east by Vile Parle Police station in association with 32 Social & Non Political organization with the help of Mahatma Phule Blood Bank. The response from Parlekars was over whelming. Many of the youngsters came forward to donate their blood. In the time of peak summer and covid pandemic parlekars came forward and waited about 30 minutes to 45 minutes in the line & donated their blood for a good cause.   A total of 650 donors donated their blood. There were prominent personalities from field of Film, Literature, Art, Sports and politics who visited and some of them donated their blood as well. To name a few –  Mr. Rajiv Khandekar (Editor – ABP Majha) & Mrs. Janhavi Khandekar , Pushkar Shrotri (Marathi Actor, Director & Producer), A.C.P Avinash Dharmadhikari, Senior Police Inspector Alka Mandave, P.I. Rajendra Kane. All the Officers & Staff of Vile Parle Police station, Vakola Police station came forward and donated their blood.  Mumbai`s Mayor Kishori Pednekar, Vile Parle MLA Parag Alavani were also present during the blood donation camp.

Vile Parle Police Station would like to thank the contribution of institutions and social organisations who helped & made this event a success. Special thanks to Ajay Sapre, Vidyadhar Chakradev and team who helped us & made the venue available – Utkarsha Mandal Hall, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Dr. Kishor Jha and Team, Shrimati Rama Gulab Charitable trust – Jitendra Joshi, Shwetambar Jain Temple – Koldongri.

This blood donation camp was organised under the guidance of Shri Sandeep Karnik Addl. C. P. West Region and DCP Shri Manjunath Singe DCP Zone VIII by team of ACP Avinash Dharmadhikari, Sr PI Alka Mandave and PI Rajendra Kane..

Apart from the above we would also like to extend our thanks to our team who helped in organizing this – Chetan Belkar, Nitin Dicholkar, Sunil Mayekar, Ajit Pitale, Sanjay Sawant, Leena Redkar Mam, Juilee Mam, Bhagyashree Mahajan and the list goes on, without them it wouldn’t have been possible. There are many social organisations who couldn’t participate in person at the blood donation camp – Deshastha Rugvedi Bramhan Sangh, Inner Wheel Club of Mumbai – Parleshwar, Mangala Bhagwat Foundation, Townparle.in, Marathi Mitra Mandal, Association of Social Beyond Boundaries Sakhi. The co-operation of these institutions / organisations won’t be forgotten.
